Ordnance Survey 1:25 000 Second Series [1996-logo reprints]

When Ordnance Survey began publishing its 1:25 000 ‘Explorer’ series as a national series in 1997, the Pathfinder (1:25000 Second Series) sheets were gradually phased out. Some Pathfinder sheets were reprinted during this time - between 1997 and 2002 - to keep stock levels up before the introduction of the Explorer sheets for the areas concerned. Standard facsimile reprints were left unchanged, but sheets which were slightly revised were reprinted with the new Ordnance Survey logo, which had been introduced in 1996.
The aim of this collection theme is to acquire a copy of each Pathfinder sheet printed with the new 1996 Ordnance Survey logo.
