| Between January and March 2009 certain covers of OS 1:25 000 Explorer and 1:50 000 Landranger maps were printed with blue lettering on the Ordnance Survey logo on the cover spine. This was unintentional, apparently being the result of a design error. Before being rectified the error affected cover printings of at least six short cover format Explorer sheets and eighteen, probably nineteen, Landranger sheets. |
| The aim of this collection theme is to acquire a copy of each Explorer and Landranger cover bearing blue lettering on the Ordnance Survey logo on the cover spine, as printed in early 2009. |
